Films That We ‘LOVE’ Collection.

What movie do you love the most?

If you were to ask us which single Disney film was our favourite, which Pixar film was our favourite or which Marvel film was our favourite… we really can’t choose!🤔

As mentioned in our first blog post of the year ‘100 Years Of Magic’ this year we’re linking and designing every collection towards the Disney 100 celebration and honouring our designs to our favourite Disney moments, films, rides, characters and everything in between. Disney’s celebration ‘100 Years Of Wonder’ has inspired us to call our next release ‘100 Years Of Love’. ❤️

DISCLAIMER: This is not a Valentines release… this is a collection for us to show our appreciation and love towards our favourite and most memorable Disney/Pixar movies, moments and characters all thrown into one inspired by magic design! As always ALL of our designs have been created by Alice, reimagining some existing designs from over the years and introducing some inspired by character / movie designs we’ve yet to explore before. ✨

What films have we explored this time?

🍯 - Disney’s Winnie The Pooh first released in 1977. Featuring a tasty looking ‘HUNNY’ pot, Pooh Bear is and always has been Alice’s favourite character, wanting everything from Pooh Bear bedding to Pooh Bear socks and now Pooh Bear Funko POP! Figures to Pooh Bear Disney Traditions, it would have been rude to not show some love to Pooh Bear in this collection!

🎃 - Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.1993. Firstly how is it that we’ve only got ONE movie featuring The Pumpkin King himself; Jack Jack Skellington?! A movie you wouldn’t associate with being Disney with it’s dark edge and almost a little gory for a ‘kids film’ scenes. Leaving the question of do I watch this at Halloween, Christmas or both up to you; we absolutely love this movie, it’s characters, it’s songs and dark theme, unique in it’s on way and again the fact that this movie’s characters are so widely adored yet we’re about to hit it’s 30th anniversary with no sequel?! On a side note if you’ve not seen Disneyland’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Holiday overlay before, Google it now, you won’t regret it!

🚪 - Pixar’s Monsters Inc released in 2001. Now this may be MY favourite Pixar movie, pre 2010 at least. Monsters,Inc. as well as Toy Story & Toy Story 2 are movies I remember watching mostly Pixar wise the most, in fact I definitely watched Toy Story more with having it on video and only later did I have Monsters,Inc. on DVD. Monsters, Inc. I remember loving the idea of more than anything, Monsters weren’t so scary, Monsters were kind of cool, kind of funny and they had a live to live like us too. With memorable scenes, lines and characters I’m not shy to admit I know 90% of the movie word for word…

🌺 - Disney’s Lilo & Stitch realised in 2002. We’ve neglected our love for Stitch over the years due to not knowing how to represent him in our designs other than his outline/silhouette. Now it’s not a film made and released during what was one of Disney’s toughest times, they had a few box office flops on the horizon and it really wasn’t an easy ride, especially because Pixar was performing better than them at that time too. Lilo & Stitch was and is a great story, introduced us to some great characters and also has some insanely catchy tunes! It feels like a part of both mine and Alice’s childhoods as little as we watched it then, we see it as our guilty pleasure now.

🌱 - Pixar’s Wall-E released in 2008. Quick fact with this one. Did you know than in the first 40 minutes of WALL-E almost no human is shown, very little dialogue is spoken and most of what we hear throughout the movie is robots communicating with one another. What we both love about WALL-E its it’s never told before storyline, the deep down meaning of the film,

By the way I do want to just point out that the Autopilot isn’t technically a bad guy, a good plot twist to the movie though, but he was programmed to never let humans return to Earth, because one plant surviving is hardly a sustainable place to call home, not straight away anyway.

🎈 - Pixar’s Up released in 2009. Is one of out go to movies on a cold, rainy, lazy day. The opening scene of the movie is a long 10 minutes of again almost silence, nothing but mostly music and a small bit of dialogue when we see Ellie & Carl as kids. Once you get past the heartbreak and the whirlwind of emotions that the rise and fall of their relationship brings, we know one thing for sure, that together or not, their love lasts forever and this is noticed throughout the movie.

Sadness aside, the movie features a unique adventure full of characters we’ve grown to love, a world full of colour and a villain with a very similar name to the man who stole the character who could have been ‘The Rabbit that started it all’ Oswald The Rabbit…

What will all this be embroidered on?

We’ve got a handpicked selection of items already lined up but don’t plan to release all designs at once to avoid a mass rush and sell-out, we’ve got beanies, jumpers, hoodies, cardigans and more ready for this collection. Colours and items picked specifically for this release that match the theming, match the artwork and match the vibe we want the collection to give off.

When’s release date on this?

We will be starting by releasing all Winnie The Pooh merch together with a second design which we’re not disclosing yet. We can’t tell you all our secrets.

Stay tuned!
