About Teeq

Welcome to Teeq!

Hi, I'm Alice and I run Teeq from our custom-built workshop in Staffordshire, UK. I've always had a passion for designing clothing, so I started Teeq in 2017 to share my love of pop culture, design, and embroidery with the world.

Alice, founder of Teeq

The Art of Embroidery — Why It Matters

At Teeq, we chose embroidery over screen printing from day one — and we've never looked back. Embroidery isn't just a technique; it's a craft. Each design is stitched thread by thread directly into the fabric, creating texture, depth, and a tactile quality that printed graphics simply can't replicate.

Here's why embroidery stands apart:

  • Durability: Embroidered designs don't crack, fade, or peel. They're built to last wash after wash, year after year.
  • Richness: The raised texture of stitched thread catches light in a way that makes colours pop and details sing — especially on dark garments.
  • Prestige: Embroidery has long been associated with premium workwear, luxury fashion, and heritage brands. It signals quality before you even touch the fabric.
  • Uniqueness: Every piece carries the subtle character of handcrafted production. No two items are ever quite identical.

When you wear a Teeq piece, you're wearing something made with genuine skill — not a design sprayed onto a blank.

Made in the UK, With Purpose

Our Staffordshire workshop is where everything happens. From digitising artwork to running the embroidery machines, every step of production takes place under one roof — our roof. We don't outsource to overseas factories or rely on mass-production lines.

Keeping production in the UK means:

  • Faster turnaround — we control our own schedule, so limited drops ship quickly.
  • Tighter quality control — Alice personally reviews finished pieces before they leave the workshop.
  • Lower carbon footprint — shorter supply chains mean fewer air miles and less packaging waste.
  • Supporting local — we source blanks and materials from UK and European suppliers wherever possible, prioritising ethical production standards.

We're proud to be a genuinely British-made brand in an era when that phrase is often used loosely.

Quality Over Fast Fashion

Teeq was never built to compete on price. We were built to compete on quality, longevity, and meaning. Fast fashion produces garments designed to be worn a handful of times and discarded. We produce pieces designed to become favourites — the hoodie you reach for first, the tee you'd be gutted to lose.

Every garment we embroider starts with a carefully selected blank. We choose fabrics for weight, softness, and wash performance — not just cost. Our embroidery thread is colourfast and rated for hundreds of washes. We'd rather produce fewer pieces and get them right than flood the market with mediocre volume.

We also run limited-edition drops rather than permanent catalogues. This keeps our designs fresh, our production intentional, and our pieces genuinely collectible.

Alice's Design Process

Every Teeq design starts with a feeling — usually a moment of fandom, nostalgia, or cultural obsession. Alice draws inspiration from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and the broader world of pop culture, then translates that energy into embroidery-first artwork.

The process looks something like this:

  1. Concept sketch — rough ideas on paper or tablet, exploring composition and colour palette.
  2. Digital artwork — refined vector or raster artwork built with embroidery constraints in mind (stitch count, thread colours, minimum detail sizes).
  3. Digitising — converting the artwork into an embroidery file, mapping stitch direction, density, and sequence. This is where craft meets code.
  4. Test stitch — running a sample on scrap fabric to check tension, registration, and colour accuracy before committing to production.
  5. Production run — stitching the final pieces in our workshop, with quality checks throughout.

It's a process that takes time — and that's exactly the point. The care that goes into each design is what you feel when you hold a finished Teeq piece.

Our Values

  • 🧵 Craft over convenience — we do things the harder, better way.
  • 🇬🇧 Proudly UK-made — every stitch happens in Staffordshire.
  • ♻️ Intentional production — limited drops, less waste, more meaning.
  • ❤️ Fandom with heart — we make things for people who genuinely love what they love.

Thank you for being part of the Teeq community. Every order means the world to us — and to Alice's embroidery machine.
