We’re Doing It Ourselves!
In our ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ blog we talked about how we take pride in not only the clothing we offer but the very design that’s put on them, we produce everything from scratch from our Staffordshire based workshop, there’s no third party, no out sourcing just us creating original and unique designs.
Every little detail in our designs are carefully placed, sometimes it take several days to develop an idea from a sketch to a design, and then it’s the task of getting it on the right product, sometimes it’s trial and error, hence our sample sale of products that didn’t make the final cut for the released collection and we didn’t mention in that blog that every tie dye product we sell is also 100% us, 100% original, 100% hand made!
We take time to plan and test what tie dye colours are right to use and best represent the characters and theming of our collections. We look at what colours we’re already using in our planned embroidery designs and use them as a way to make any tie dye release feel part of a collection and not just a random un-related release.
Do we always get it right?
The answer, is no!
Some colour combinations blend too much, other colour combinations don’t blend enough, some products dependant on the material don’t take to the dye and sometimes the tie dye comes out great but what we want to put on it doesn’t end up looking right so we try, try and try again.
As Bob Ross said: 'We don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents’ and that’s what we think here at TEEQ we think exactly that! When we have a happy little accident with our tie dye, like when we choose the garment or wrong colour garment that we think best suits our design, it just goes into our sample sale! Meaning we get to become even more creative with it finding a new way to make it a sellable product and it also means you get the chance to buy an exclusive or limited item at a discounted price!
If you want to see MORE tie dye from us then you’re in luck! We’ve just released our latest UP collection, on Friday 11th March we’re re-releasing and updating our 2021 Mickey’s Daisy collection with our most popular tie-dye release from last Spring and we’re also releasing a brand new collection on Friday 25th March with a tie dye colour scheme we’ve never released before on a product we’ve never released before and it’s all for the anniversary of a certain theme park in France…
