The anniversary party in the DLP parks began its six-month-long extravaganza on March 6th, with the true anniversary date falling on April 12th. Originally known as Euro Disney, the park opened its gates with the four beloved lands we still adore today: Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland, and Discoveryland. Together, these lands house iconic attractions like Phantom Manor, Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates Of The Caribbean, and the magnificent symbol of the park, Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. It's these cherished memories that have inspired our remarkable 30 Years Of Magic collection.
The Design That Captures the Magic
Creating a design to commemorate 30 Years Of Magic was a labor of love for us. We wanted to encapsulate all our favorite rides, characters, snacks, and hotels into one magical image that represented the Disneyland Paris we know and love today. It was more than just a design; it was a mind map of the present-day Disneyland Paris, bridging the gap between then and now.
To achieve this vision, we stripped back the lands and the park to their bare foundations, embracing the essence that has remained constant over the years. The design features breathtaking fireworks, symbolizing the joyous celebration period. Each explosion holds a motif representing the essence of each land: a cowboy boot with cacti for Frontierland, a Pirate's skull and crossbones with cannonballs for Adventureland, Sleeping Beauty's crown with hearts for Fantasyland, and a planet and rocket with stars for Discoveryland. All of this united by the centerpiece of the design, Sleeping Beauty's Castle, building a bridge between the four magical lands.
