We Don’t Talk About Bruno...
We don’t talk about Bruno, but it’s about time we do, because he’s playing a big part in our next collection inspired by none other than Walt Disney Animation Studios 2021 release; Encanto!
We’ve already teased our Facebook & Instagram followers with a few early bird teasers, including a design sneak peek, but if you want to know what items to expect in the collection then you’re in luck, well slightly in luck because we’re not revealing too much, just yet.
Releasing this coming Saturday, February 12th, is a brand new six piece collection and in my designs I’ve taken into many aspects of the movies Colombian setting, characters and also the message behind it all. We’ve got two pocket tee’s coming to store, one inspired by the Madrigal family an d their ‘magic’ and the second inspired by Bruno himself, his characteristics and his not so evil after all persona. I’ve also designed a hoodie following on from the pocket tee design inspired Bruno featuring everyone’s favourite quote from the movie, (sorry it’s now in your head) a purple jumper with embroidery to match the magic and bright colours of the movie and also two cardigans featuring the vessel of magic itself, the Madrigal candle.
The designing process.
Here at Teeq we take pride in not only the clothing we offer but the very design that’s put on them, we produce everything from scratch from our Staffordshire based workshop, there’s no third party, no out sourcing just us creating original and unique designs.
Every little detail in our designs are carefully placed, sometimes it take several days to develop an idea from a sketch to a design, and then it’s the task of getting it on the right product, sometimes it’s trial and error, hence our sample sale of products that didn’t make the final cut for the released collection.
The reason behind this blog post pre-release is to not only shout about our upcoming release and get you as excited as I am, but to also highlight the process behind creating my designs, the process of choosing the right garment to lay that design onto be it printed or embroidered but to also express our ever growing concern and frustration when I see something I’ve designs somewhat copied somewhere else. The time and effort I put in to getting our collections 100% from start to finish feels so rewarding when the finishing product is produced infront of me, for it to only feel dampened when I see an almost direct copy after our launch.
Thank you to all everyone who’s already supported my small business this year, I really do appreciate every purchase, every like, follow, share, review; I simply couldn’t produce collections like I do without YOU!
Be unique, be original, be you.
From left to right you can see just a few of the many steps it takes to design, develop and finalise a collection.
Starting with getting each and every design we need for the collection ready to be embroidered or printed, digitising the designs we need for embroidery, developing product mock-ups trying to get the right design on the right colour of the right product, testing the designs on the various products chosen, then finally and from there choosing the final collection ready for you to grab this coming Saturday!
See ya real soon!
